2005-06 (JUNIOR): Had the best season of any women's basketball player in USF's history ... Dickson led the nation in scoring for 11 of the 17 weeks that the NCAA generated statistical reports ... Was joined only by two-time National Player of the Year Seimone Augustus of LSU as the only two players in the country to lead the nation in scoring this season ... Would eventually finish third in the nation in scoring behind Augustus (22.7 ppg) and Baylor's Sophia Young (22.3 ppg) ... Dickson's 22.0 points per game is the highest single-season average of any player at USF playing more than 20 games ... The third-place finish is the highest finish ever for a BIG EAST women's basketball player ... For her efforts, during the year, Dickson was named first team All-BIG EAST and was tabbed a Associated Press All-American honorable mention ... In addition, she was also added to the John R. Wooden Award National Player of the Year Midseason Top 20 and the Naismith National Player of the Year Midseason Top 30 lists ... Dickson was 11-23 (.478) from the field, 5-12 (.417), and 10-12 (.833) from the charity stripe against the Scarlet Knights while also grabbing nine rebounds, including six offensive ... Scored 35 points twice during the year against No. 14/13 DePaul (12/7/05) - in helping the Bulls to their first-ever BIG EAST Conference win - and against North Florida (12/28/05) ... Was 14-23 (.609) from the field and 3-5 (.600) from behind the three-point arc in the outing against the Osprey ... Also had 30-plus points in back-to-back outings against Maryland-Baltimore County (11/26/05) with 33 and 32 against Robert Morris (11/27/05), and against Cincinnati (1/15/06) netting 30 ... Her 33 points against UMBC was coupled with 10 rebounds for her first of three double doubles of the season ... Was named the Most Valuable Player of the San Juan Shootout averaging 22.3 points per contest ... That average included a 26-point effort against Northern Arizona (12/20/05) and a 24-point outing against Colorado (12/21/05) in the championship game ... Led the team in minutes played and was third in the BIG EAST logging 37.6 minutes per outing ... Played in 26 games where she recorded 25 or more minutes and 13 games of 40-plus minutes of action ... Had two separate six-game stretches - Dec. 20 to Jan. 18 and Feb. 11 to March 4 - where she played 238 and 237 minutes respectively out of a possible 240 minutes of action ... Was also the team leader in free throw shooting, and second in the conference, hitting 86.9 percent (128-148) of her shots from the charity stripe ... Finished the season third on the team in rebounding grabbing 5.8 boards per game.
