The University of South Florida football team (2-0, 0-0 BIG EAST) looks to win its third-straight game - and its second consecutive against an in-state foe - when it faces UCF Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
The contest between the Bulls and the Golden Knights, just the second ever between the schools separated by only 98 miles and Interstate 4, will be televised live on College Sports Television with Tom Hart (play-by-play) and Trev Alberts (color analyst) ... The game can also be heard live on The Bulls' Radio Network, and via the internet at

USF looks to start the season 3-0 for just the second time in the programs young 10-year history ... The Bulls also accomplished the feat kicking off the 1998 campaign en route to a 5-0 beginning ... USF has only been 2-0 two other times, starting off the 1998 and 2002 seasons ... Saturday's contest is just the second road game against a “Sunshine State” foe for USF ... The Bulls faced Miami on Oct. 1, 2005 at the Orange Bowl with USF coming out on the short side of a 27-7 decision ... After starting this season off with two home games, Saturday's game is the first of two straight, and four of the next six, that the Bulls will play away from Raymond James Stadium ... In its next outing USF will travel to “Americas Heartland” to face Kansas on Sept. 23.
The Bulls are coming off their second come-from-behind win of the short season ... USF defeated Florida International, 21-20, last weekend on a 29-yard touchdown pass from
Matt Grothe to
Taurus Johnson with just 2:33 left in the game ... The TD reception marked the second of a two-touchdown day for Johnson ... In addition, the lead was the Bulls' first of the night ... The Bulls also had to come back from a 10-7 deficit in the third quarter against McNeese State en route to a decisive 41-10 win over the Cowboys on Sept. 2.
