
USF Baseball Program Earned 1,200th-Career Win March 25

TAMPA, Fla. (March 26, 2007) ? The University of South Florida baseball team beat Notre Dame 9-1 Sunday, March 25 for the Bulls' 1,200th all-time victory. In the 42nd year of the program, USF is 1200-943-4 overall.
USF's most wins came in the 1986 season when the Bulls were 52-16, with a 15-3 Sun Belt Conference record. That season USF won the Sun Belt Tournament and made an NCAA appearance.
Ten years later USF was 47-19, the school's second-best season, winning the regular season Conference USA title and making an NCAA Regional appearance.
The Bulls have won 40 or more games in seven seasons, and were victorious in more than 30 games in 20 seasons.
USF's fewest win total was in 1966, the first year of the program, when the Bulls were 4-11.
