USF Softball Set To Host Summer Camp June 18-21

TAMPA, Fla. (May 29, 2007) ? The University of South Florida softball coaching staff will be hosting its annual Fastpitch Summer Camp from June 18-21 at the USF Softball Field.

The Junior Bulls Day Camp welcomes ages 8-10 and costs $175. The Bulls Skills Camp welcomes ages 11-18 and ranges in cost from $350 for day camp and $450 for overnighters. The Bulls Skills Camp will be separated into various groups based on age and skill level.

All camp programs will teach the fundamentals of throwing, hitting, fielding, bunting, pitching, sliding and specific infield/outfield techniques.

Campers will learn from the highly regarded USF coaching staff, which features head coach and 2004 Team USA Olympic coach Ken Eriksen, along with assistants Amber Wright, Monica Triner and Carmela Liwag.

In addition to the USF coaching staff, 2004 Team USA Olympian Lovie Jung, Former National Team and World Champion pitcher Russell Cooper from New Zealand, USF softball players and various college coaches and national clinicians are scheduled to appear. 

Campers will have access to great facilities, including four softball fields, batting cages and indoor facilities if needed.
