Postgame Notes

● Up next: The Bulls travel to Nashville for the SEC/BIG EAST Invitational on Tuesday, Dec. 14. USF takes on Vanderbilt at 7 p.m. and Tennessee vs. Marquette follow with both games televised on ESPN2.

● Senior guard Jesus Verdejo led USF in scoring with 20 points, going 7-12 from the field and 2-5 from 3-point range. It is his third game this season scoring 20 or more points.

● Junior guard Chris Howard tied for the team lead with six rebounds, while Dominique Jones led the Bulls with four assists.

● Freshman transfer Augustus Gilchrist and junior transfer Mike Mercer both made their USF debuts and started vs. Niagara after sitting out the first semester and six games of the year. Mercer tallied 12 points and Gilchrist eight and six rebounds.

● Freshman guard and scholarship quarterback B.J Daniels made his USF basketball debut midway through the first half vs. Niagara.
