TAMPA (AP) - Dominique Jones scored 26 points and 10 rebounds and Augustus Gilchrist had 16 points and 11 rebounds to help the University of South Florida beat DePaul 70-61 on Tuesday night.

The Bulls (7-11, 2-4 Big East) beat the Blue Demons (8-11, 0-6) for the second time in 10 days, and defeated a conference foe twice in the same season for just the second time since entering the Big East in 2005.

Following up on a 35-point effort in a 62-59 loss at West Virginia, Jones made eight of 19 shots and went 9-for-11 at the foul line. He also finished with 10 rebounds and six assists, while Gilchrist put USF ahead for good on a 3-pointer with just under seven minutes to go.

DePaul began the second half with a 14-2 run to take a 42-37 lead, however USF responded with a 10-0 spurt to regain control.

Dar Tucker led the Blue Demons with 19 points and Mac Koshwal scored 17.

USF's Chris Howard added 12 points, five rebounds and three assists.

? USF picked up a 70-61 victory, their second win against DePaul this season to improve to 2-4 in conference play. After Villanova, the Bulls travel to Louisville to take on the No. 9/12 Cardinals on Wednesday, Jan. 28.

? USF's second leading scorer, senior guard Jesus Verdejo, missed the game with a concussion and a mouth injury that occurred during the West Virginia game. He is expected back for Saturday's game.

? Sophomore guard Dominique Jones tallied a game-high 26 points to lead the Bulls. He was just four assists shy of just the third triple-double in USF history, finishing with 10 rebounds and six assists.

? The 26 points and 10 rebounds is just the second double-double of Jones' career. The other was a 30-point, 14 rebound performance last year at Richmond (12/5/07).

? Jones now has 19 career games with 20 or more points.

? The 10 boards is a season high for Jones and the second most of his career, bested only by the 14 he had last year at Richmond (12/5/07).

? Jones' six assists were one off his career high seven done twice previously (1/14/09 at Pitt and 12/9/07 vs. Winston-Salem State).

? Jones has played 159 of the last 160 minutes, missing only 14 seconds in today's game and the final 46 seconds of the 1/10/09 game at DePaul. He played the entire 40 minutes at Pitt and at West Virginia.

? Freshman forward Augustus Gilchrist tallied 16 points and 11 rebounds for his first career double-double.

? The 11 rebounds by Gilchrist is a career high, besting the eight he had vs. Vanderbilt (12/16/08).

? The pair of double-doubles were just the second and third by USF this season, and the first two as points and rebounds. Chris Howard had a 12 point and 10 assist outing at DePaul on 1/10/09.
