TAMPA ? Former USF volleyball player Kristina Fabris has been invited to train and compete for a spot on the Canadian National Team.
Fabris has been playing in Finland since completing her collegiate eligibility following the 2007 season. She completed the most recent season with Pislaploki.
"Being a part of my national team is a great honor and I am very excited about this opportunity,” said Fabris. “I look forward to developing as an athlete on the court and all that I will face with this experience will also help me grow as an individual off the court.
“I played for Canada on the junior level and ever since putting on that jersey, I have always had my eyes set on making the senior national team. I hope to make the most of this opportunity and be a part of Canada's run to qualify for the Olympics in 2012."
The Canadian National Team pool will compete from June through September. Among those scheduled tournaments is the Women's Pan American Cup in Miami from June 24-July 5. A complete schedule is below:

The final rosters for both the Senior A and B Teams for this summer's competitions will be announced the middle of June.
