FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - University of South Florida high jumper Errol Blackmon competed at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships over the weekend, finishing in a tie for 15th after leaping 6-8.75 in the preliminaries at John McDonnell Field on the campus of the University of Arkansas.

Blackmon was one of seven athletes to leap that height. Fourteen went on to jump 6-10.75 in the preliminaries and move on to the final.

The senior leaves USF ranking third on the school's all-time high jump list after clearing 7-1 at the Bulls Invitational in March.

Blackmon was the only USF athlete to compete at the championships.
