PHILADELPHIA, Penn., April 25, 2026 – The University of South Florida track and field program competed against elite national competition at the Penn Relays, turning in strong performances and advancing multiple entries to championship finals at Franklin Field.
Facing one of the deepest and most historic meets in the country, the Bulls delivered competitive results across sprint and hurdle events, highlighted by a runner-up finish in the men's 4x200m relay and a podium performance in the 400m hurdles.
HIGHLIGHTS:
Sprints/Relays:
South Florida's men's 4x200m relay team of
Nathan Metelus,
Jaleel Croal,
Cayden Broadnax and
Shomari Pettigrew placed second overall in the Championship of America with a time of 1:21.89.
The men's 4x100m relay team of Broadnax, Metelus,
Alexavier Monfries and Croal advanced to the Championship of America final after posting a 39.47 in the prelims.
Hurdles:
Darian Mills secured a podium finish in the men's 400m hurdles, placing third with a personal-best time of 50.65 in a highly competitive field.
Joshua Crum followed with a seventh-place finish in the same event, clocking 51.45.
Kahiem Carby added a sixth-place finish in the men's 110m hurdles championship, crossing in 14.32.
