TAMPA - For the third-straight season, the University of South Florida football team is listed in the USA Today Coaches' Preseason Top 25 Poll, this year picking up 11 votes and are tied at No. 40.

Last year USF started the season with a No. 21 ranking, the first time the program was ranked in the Coaches' Preseason Poll. In 2007, USF received votes in the poll and spent the majority of the year in the top 25, including a week as the No. 2 team in the country.
Florida tops the 2009 list with 53 of the 59 first-place votes, followed by No. 2 Texas, No. 3 Oklahoma and No. 4 USC .
Six of USF's 2009 opponents are ranked in the poll, led by non-conference foe No. 19 Florida State. Miami received votes, earning a No. 33 ranking.
The BIG EAST Conference picked up four consecutive spots in the receiving votes category in No. 29 Cincinnati, No. 30 Pittsburgh, No. 31 West Virginia and No. 32 Rutgers.
All totaled, USF will split the ranked/receiving votes teams home and away. Bulls fans will see Cincinnati (Oct. 15), West Virginia (Oct. 30) and Miami (Nov. 28) at Raymond James Stadium, but will have to travel to watch USF face Florida State (Sept. 26), Pittsburgh (Oct. 24) and Rutgers (Nov. 12).
The Bulls began training camp August 6 and will host the USF Football Fan Fest August 15 at Raymond James from 3-6 p.m. before the opening the season on Sept. 5 at 7 p.m. against Wofford in Tampa.
