TAMPA - Infielder Austin Knight, a 2010 signee of the University of South Florida baseball team, has been selected in the 37th round of the 2010 MLB Draft by the Baltimore Orioles with pick No. 1,108.
Knight, who is expected to be a Bull this fall after playing two seasons at Palm Beach State, is the fourth Bulls signee to be selected in this year's draft.
In 2010, Knight hit .347 with 28 RBI in 150 at-bats at Palm Beach. He is also a dangerous threat on the base paths, stealing 16 of 18 bases.
Knight, a 6-0, 195-pound second baseman, is originally from Reisterstown, Md., where he attended Boys' Latin High School. He is currently playing with current USF teammates

Chad Taylor and
Kyle Parker in the Cal Ripken Collegiate League as a member of Youse's Orioles.
