Bulls Fail to Get Rolling in Loss to Penn State

UNCASVILLE, Conn. -ย The Bulls' offense couldn't get rolling while its Preseason All-Big East honorable mention was forced to sit.
The USF men's basketball team shot 34 percent from the field in Sunday's 53-49 loss to Penn State at the Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame Tournament in Uncasville, Conn., as star forward Augustus Gilchrist missed the majority of the game with a shoulder injury.
Gilchrist only lasted 13 minutes, but USF (3-2) got solid production from Toarlyn Fitzpatrick, who posted a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Blake Nash was the only other Bull in double figures with a team-high 14 points off the bench.
Tim Frazier powered Penn State (4-1) with a game-high 27 points after going 8-for-15 from the field and hitting 10 free throws.
USF looks to get back on track at home 7 p.m. Wednesday when it faces Georgia Southern at the St. Pete Times Forum.ย
