Signee Krehbiel Drafted by Angels in 12th round

TAMPA - University of South Florida baseball signee Joe Krehbiel of Seminole HS has been selected by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim with the 375th pick of the 2011 MLB Draft in the 12th round.
Krehbiel is the second member of the signing class of 2011 to be selected as Alonso's Jose Fernandez was selected No. 14 overall by the Florida Marlins.
Krehbiel was recently named the 2011 Pinellas County Pitcher of the Year after moving into a starter's role this season and finished with a 1.18 ERA and had 73 strikeouts in 59 innings pitched. He finished with a 6-4 record and kept the Warhawks in contention for conference and district titles.
At the plate, he hit .393 with 16 RBIs and two home runs in his senior campaign.
