Cara Patterson scored her first goal of the season in the USF women's soccer team's 2-1 loss to Dartmouth on Sunday at the UCF Tournament.

Kim Rose gave Dartmouth (1-1) a 1-0 lead less than 9 minutes in when she connected from inside the box. The Bulls (2-3) tied it up in the 18th minute when Patterson scored off an assist from Marsha Harper.

Kendall Kraus scored the go-ahead goal in the 72nd minute and Dartmouth went on to win despite being outshot by the Bulls, 17-12. Credit Dartmouth keeper Tatiana Saunders for making five saves against an aggressive Bulls squad. USF freshman keeper Christiane Endler made four saves.

USF looks to put an end to its two-game losing streak when it plays the host school of the College of Charleston Cup on Friday at 7:30 p.m. The Bulls wrap up their action at the College of Charleston Cup on Sunday, Sept. 9 against Kennesaw State.

The Bulls return home to Corbett Soccer Stadium on Sunday, Sept. 16 to host Pittsburgh in their Big East opener.
