By TOM ZEBOLD USF Senior Writer TAMPA – The Bulls extended their winning streak to four with a 2-1 victory over Central Michigan in the first game of a doubleheader Wednesday night at USF softball stadium. Kenshyra Jackson hit her second homer of the season and Courtney Goff collected two of USF's four hits. USF starter Lindsey Richardson (4-3) struck out eight and gave up one unearned run on two hits in 4 2/3 innings. USF (10-10) took the lead in the bottom of the second when Jackson led off the inning with a homer just inside the foul pole in left field. An RBI single by Summer Knoop tied things up for Central Michigan in the third before USF regained the lead in the bottom half of the inning. Goff led off with a single down the right field line and Stephanie Medina sent her home three batters later with a sacrifice bunt. That's all the scoring USF needed with the way its pitchers were dealing. Sara Nevins took over for Richardson with two outs in the fifth inning and didn't allow a hit the rest of the way in her third save of the season. Kara Dornbos struck out three and allowed two runs (one earned) in six innings for Central Michigan (7-5). Game two of the doubleheader is set for an 8:20 p.m. start.
