TAMPA, MARCH 13, 2014 – Aspiring football players will have the opportunity to learn valuable aspects of the game and develop their skills with the Bulls coaching staff at 11 USF Football Camp opportunities taking place in June and July.
USF will offer camp opportunities for various ages and skill levels all utilizing the Bulls Morsani Football Practice Complex and USF Athletic facilities. All camp information and registration can be found at www.usffootballcamps.com.
The USF Football Camp offerings start June 9-11 on the USF campus with the Junior Bulls Camp for children entering grades 1-8. The camp is designed to teach young players the basic fundamentals of football and attendees will get instruction from head coach Willie Taggart and his staff. The 2014 Willie Taggart Quarterback Academy takes place June 15 on campus for signal callers entering grades 9-12 in the fall. Taggart and the USF coaching staff will teach the fundamentals of the quarterback position. Learn more about the camp and register HERE.
Players looking to get instruction on special teams can attend the one-day Kicking Camp June 15. The camp is designed for snappers, punters and kickers entering grades 9-12 in the fall and attendees will receive individual instruction. Learn more about the Kicking Camp and register HERE.
Action continues June 16-19 with the Team Padded Camp on campus that's designed for high school teams (maximum of six). High school coaches will bring their skill players and linemen with a primary focus of developing fundamentals and team cohesiveness while getting instruction from USF coaches. The coaching staff will hit the road to four different locations for USF Satellite Camps that take place in Fort Myers (June 12), Miami (June 13), Panama City (June 19) and Jacksonville (June 20). USF Satellite Camps are for boys entering grades 9-12 in the fall and attendees will participate in practice sessions, agility drills and other position-specific drills. Players entering grades 9-12 can get more instruction during the USF One Day Camp June 21 on campus. Attendees will take part in position drills and agility work on the same practices fields the Bulls use. Learn more about the camp and register HERE.
Players can participate in the best 7-on-7 passing tournament in America July 19-20 at the 2014 Sling & Shoot Camp on campus. Teams will be placed in brackets and play games in a Round Robin format for the first half of the tournament to determine seeding for a single-elimination playoff. The Big Man Camp (July 19-20) is designed for offensive and defensive linemen entering grades 9-12. They will be participate in four sessions of fundamentals and do technique work while being supervised by USF's offensive line, defensive line and tight end coaches.
