Three Capture First Place at Louisville Twilight

TAMPA, May 16, 2014 – Courtney Anderson, Mira Carrozza and Matthew O'Neal won first place in their respective events on Friday at the Louisville Twilight.
Anderson (Cape Coral, Fla.) finished first in the women's high jump with a height of 5-foot-08.00. Carrozza (Pittsburgh, Pa.) finished first in the women's javelin with a distance of 137-02 (41.81m) while O'Neal (Jackson, Miss.) finished first in the triple jump with a distance of 51-08.50 (15.76m).
Senior Shane Lewis (Orlando) finished second in the triple jump with a distance of 50-2.50 (15.30m).
Junior Chase Meyers (Punta Gorda, Fla.) finished third in the men's high jump with a mark of 6-06.25 (1.99m). All-conference performer Giscard Petion (Tampa) failed to record a height.
Junior Natasha Stewart (Vero Beach, Fla.) finished fourth in the women's long jump at 19-07.00 (5.97m).
Sophomore Paul Barrett (Tampa, Fla.) placed third in the 400m hurdles with a time of 53.32.
USF will have nearly two weeks off before competing at the NCAA East Preliminary May 29-31 at Jacksonville, Fla.
