
Twelve South Florida Track and Field Athletes Earn CSC Academic All-District Team Honors

GREENWOOD, Ind. (June 23, 2026) – Twelve South Florida track and field athletes have earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team honors, the organization announced on Tuesday.
The South Florida honorees include Mercy Angaamchaab, Kaden Banks, Cayden Broadnax, Ella Dolce, Tristen Evatt, Gianna Hansen, Andreas Kreiss, Andrew Marello, Payton Pitts, Nikodem Pochopien, Doris Quainoo and Lynette Scutari.
To be nominated, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) and either record a top-50 individual performance at the 2025 NCAA cross country regional competition or a top-50 regional ranking in a single individual event during the indoor or outdoor season.
Mercy Angaamchaab
Angaamchaab carries a 3.53 GPA while majoring in health sciences. She earned bronze medals in the 800m at both the American Indoor Championships (2:09.65) and American Outdoor Championships (2:14.54).
The junior posted a personal-best 1,500m time of 4:32.17 at the East Coast Relays. She also ran a season-best 800m time of 2:09.04 at the Florida Relays.
Kaden Banks
Banks holds a 3.83 GPA as a health sciences major. He finished sixth in the shot put with a mark of 16.57m at the American Indoor Championships.
The junior posted a season-best discus throw of 53.25m to finish third at the East Coast Relays. Banks placed sixth with a season-best shot put of 16.87m at the American Outdoor Championships.
Cayden Broadnax
Broadnax is an information science major with a 3.64 GPA. He was an NCAA Outdoor Championships qualifier in the 4x100m relay and was part of the American Conference champion relay team with a time of 38.93.
Broadnax posted a 100m time of 10.22 at the American Outdoor Championships, which ranked 46th in the East Region. The junior finished second in the 4x200m relay with a time of 1:21.89 at the Penn Relays.
Ella Dolce
Dolce graduated with a bachelor's degree in biomedical sciences and a 3.62 GPA. She became the first American Conference outdoor pole vault champion in program history after clearing an outdoor-best 3.99m at the American Outdoor Championships.
Dolce finished sixth with a pole vault mark of 3.77m at the American Indoor Championships. She earned nine top-10 finishes in 10 meets this season.
Tristen Evatt
Evatt has a 3.56 GPA while majoring in language, speech, and hearing sciences. She finished fourth in the long jump with a personal-best 6.07m at the American Indoor Championships.
Evatt was part of the 4x100m relay team that earned a bronze medal at the American Outdoor Championships, running a time of 45.36. She also posted a personal-best 200m time of 23.64 and placed fifth in the long jump (6.01m) at the American Outdoor Championships.
Gianna Hansen
Hansen holds a 3.73 GPA while majoring in information science. She ran a 60m hurdles time of 8.79 to finish seventh at the American Indoor Championships.
The junior placed seventh in the 100m hurdles with a season-best time of 13.55 at the American Outdoor Championships.
Andreas Kreiss
Kreiss boasts a 4.0 GPA while majoring in biomedical sciences. He earned a bronze medal in the pole vault with a jump of 5.12m at the American Outdoor Championships.
Kreiss posted an indoor-best pole vault mark of 5.19m at the Jarvis Scott Invitational. He scored at the American Indoor Championships in the pole vault (5.00m), finishing fifth. The junior posted seven top-5 finishes in 11 meets this season.
Andrew Marello
Marello is a finance major with a 3.95 GPA. He posted personal-best marks in the mile (4:13.39), 3,000m (8:36.24), and 3,000m steeplechase (10:08.38) this season.
Payton Pitts
Pitts carries a 3.52 GPA as a health sciences major. He was an NCAA East First Rounds qualifier in the pole vault after posting a personal-best 5.30m at the Florida Relays, which ranked 31st in the East Region.
Pitts earned a silver medal in the pole vault (5.20m) at the American Indoor Championships. He also won the pole vault at the South Florida Invitational, jumping 5.26m.
Nikodem Pochopien
Pochopien holds a 3.77 GPA while majoring in finance. He was an NCAA East First Rounds qualifier in the pole vault after winning the event with a personal-best 5.35m at the East Coast Relays.
Pochopien was the American Conference champion in the indoor pole vault, posting an indoor-best 5.30m at the American Indoor Championships. The sophomore earned a silver medal in the outdoor pole vault (5.22m) at the American Outdoor Championships.
Doris Quainoo
Quainoo graduated with a bachelor's degree in health care administration and a 3.63 GPA. She qualified for the NCAA East First Rounds in the 100m hurdles after posting a wind-legal season-best time of 13.26 at the American Outdoor Championships, ranking 33rd in the East Region.
Quainoo earned a silver medal for the second straight season in the 100m hurdles, posting a time of 13.08 at the American Outdoor Championships. She was part of the 4x100m relay team that earned a bronze medal at the American Outdoor Championships, running a time of 45.36. The senior earned a bronze medal in the 60m hurdles (8.30) at the American Indoor Championships.
Lynette Scutari
Scutari graduated with a bachelor's degree in criminology and a 3.75 GPA. She earned a bronze medal in the 4x100m relay with a time of 45.36 at the American Outdoor Championships. The senior also finished sixth in the 200m with a time of 23.93.
Scutari scored in the 60m at the American Indoor Championships, finishing seventh with a personal-best 7.44 in the prelims and a finals time of 7.45. She posted a personal-best 100m time of 11.59 at the Florida Relays.
