TAMPA, MAY 20, 2014 – DeDe Lattimore was a Bull opponents got to meet often during the 2013 football season.
The linebacker from Athens, Ga., finished his senior season with a team-leading 98 tackles after wrapping up Rutgers ball-carriers a career-high 18 times in his final game as a Bull. Lattimore led the American Athletic Conference and ranked 10th in the FBS with four forced fumbles and finished second in the league with three fumble recoveries.
The All-American Athletic Conference Second-Team selection was the Bulls' top tackler in five games during the 2013 season and finished with 32 more tackles than the second USF player on the stat sheet. For his efforts, Lattimore was named the John and Cynthia Ruzic Team MVP at the annual USF Football postseason banquet and was chosen to play in the East-West Shrine Game at Tropicana Field.
Lattimore, who graduated with a degree in criminology in the fall, finished his collegiate career second all-time at USF with 337 tackles and signed as an undrafted free agent with the Chicago Bears earlier in May. Lattimore also ranks second on the USF career charts in force fumbles (6), seventh in sacks (15) and 10th in tackles for loss (32.5).
