
Peterson Named to American Honor Roll

Providence, R.I. (March 23, 2015)— Redshirt sophomore Tommy Peterson earned his first American Athletic Conference Honor Roll recognition of the season after picking up his league-leading seventh save of the season, along with two wins in three appearances this past week.
In 6.2 innings of work, over three appearances, Peterson struck out ten batters, giving up just one earned run on three hits. Against Stetson, Peterson struck out all three batters he faced and picked up his seventh save. During the FIU game, Peterson came in a picked up his first win of the season, throwing two shut-out innings. The redshirt sophomore picked up his second win on Sunday against Illinois, going 3.2 innings and giving up just one run on three hits with four strikeouts.
Peterson was joined on the honor roll by UCF's Erik Barber, Houston's Seth Romero, Memphis' Tucker Tubbs and Tulane's John Gandolfo. Carson Cross of UConn was named the Pitcher of the Week and Houston's Chris Iriat was named Player of the Week.
The Bulls return to action Tuesday, March 24, as they take on FGCU at 6:30 p.m. in Fort Myers. USF returns home to open conference play against Cincinnati Friday, March 27 at 6:30 p.m.
