TAMPA, March 12, 2016 – Winners of ten straight, the USF softball team got two impressive performances from Susan Wysocki and Erica Nunn in the circle as the Bulls downed South Dakota, 7-0, and Winthrop, 8-0, Saturday at the Under Armour Showcase.

The pair gave up just no runs and scattered eight hits in the two complete games. Each recorded six strikeouts and walked just three total batters. USF tallied four home runs on the day, coming off the bats of Mia Fung, Mo Santos, Kristen Wyckoff and Nunn.

The Bulls will be back in action against North Florida Sunday, March 13, at 4 p.m. at the USF Softball Stadium. On Wednesday, USF will host Lehigh and Maine in a doubleheader beginning at 5 p.m.

Game One: USF 7, South Dakota 0

Juli Weber went 1-for-1 with two runs and an RBI to extend her on-base streak to 22 games and her hitting streak to 18 games, and Mo Santos and Mia Fung homered to lead USF to a 7-0 shutout victory over South Dakota.

USF jumped out to an early lead thanks to the hot-hitting Santos. After back-to-back walks were issued to Weber and Fung, Santos came to the plate and launched her third home run of the season well over the left field wall to make it a 3-0 game after the first inning.

In the second, USF tacked on four more runs, starting with back-to-back RBI triples from Astin Donovan and Weber. Donovan drove in Cassidy Boyle, who reached on a single, and came home on Weber's triple. Fung followed up with a no-doubter over the left field wall for her sixth home run of the season, making it 7-0 USF. All seven of the Bulls runs were scored with two outs on the board.

The Bulls threatened once again in the third as Santos led off with a double to center field. She advanced to third on a deep fly ball from Sam Worrell, but was left stranded sixty feet from home. Santos finished the game 2-for-3 with a run and three RBIs to lead the Bulls.

Susan Wysocki threw her second complete-game shutout of the week, giving up just two hits and striking out a season high six batters. The six strikeouts also tied her career high, which she set twice in 2015.

Game Two: USF 8, Winthrop 0

Erica Nunn and Kristen Wyckoff each hit a home run, and Nunn pitched a five-inning complete-game shutout as USF defeated Winthrop 8-0.

For the second straight game, the Bulls put up a three-spot in the first inning. Nunn helped her own cause, hitting a two-run home run, the second of her career, to plate Lee Ann Spivey. Spivey recorded an RBI single of her own, driving in Kristen Wyckoff who led off with a four-pitch walk.

In the second inning, a bunt single by Wyckoff and a misplayed ball by the first baseman allowed Cassidy Boyle to score from second after reaching on a single. Astin Donovan, who reached on an error, scored on a wild pitch, making it 5-0 USF.

Boyle drove in a run in the third on a two-out RBI double to center field. The sophomore plated Mo Santos, who reached on a walk. In the fourth, USF once again put a run on the board as Wyckoff hit her first career home run on the first pitch of the at-bat.

The Bulls ended it in five innings on a walk-off sacrifice fly by Boyle. Santos led off the inning and came around to third on a ground out and a wild pitch, before scoring on Boyle's sacrifice fly.
