The right-hander out of Tampa's Jefferson High School leads the FSL will 11 saves in 11 chances this season, along with a 2-2 record and a 1.53 earned run average. Herget has struck out 41 batters in 29.1 innings this season and opponents are hitting just .167 against the former All-American Athletic Conference First-Team selection.

Newest Bulls in the Pros Sign

Tommy Eveld, Brandon Lawson and Luke Maglich have all signed pro contracts after they were selected in the MLB Amateur Draft last week.

Eveld was picked by Arizona in the ninth round and has been assigned to the Hillsboro (Ore.) Hops of the Class-A Short Season Northwest League. The right-hander from Tampa shined in his lone season as USF's closer with a team-high nine saves and a 2.21 ERA in 2016.

Lawson has been assigned to the Hudson Valley Renegades and will begin his pro career in the Class-A Short Season New York-Penn League. The right-hander from Brooksville, Fla., was drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays in the 12th round after going 5-5 with a 2.50 ERA, the lowest of any USF starter in 2016.

Maglich will soon be assigned to a team after signing with the Philadelphia Phillies this week. The outfielder from Sarasota was drafted in the 34th round after leading USF with 23 steals and three walk-off hits this past season. Maglich's .271 average and 18-extra base hits ranked second on the team in 2016.
