CINCINNATI, Sept. 30, 2016 – The University of South Florida volleyball team (10-5, 1-2 The American) was defeated 3-0 at Cincinnati (7-7, 2-1) on Friday evening.
UC won the match with scores of 25-23, 25-20, and 25-13.
The Bulls hopped ahead of the Bearcats 8-5 early in set one but the teams later found themselves deadlocked midway through the opening set. UC surged ahead from a 16-16 tie and held off a USF comeback late in order to claim the first set.
After winning the opening set, the Bearcats led wire to wire in the second and third sets to record the victory.
