
Walker Has 17 Kills and 11 Digs in Loss to Tulsa

TAMPA, OCTOBER 7, 2018 – The USF volleyball team had more kills, assists, blocks and digs than Tulsa, but dropped a close four-set match in the Corral Saturday. (18-25, 22-25, 25-22, 16-25).
The Bulls (13-5, 2-3 The American) had strong days from junior Jac'cara Walker (Gainesville, Fla.) and senior Reagan Davey (Orlando) with 17 and 10 kills, respectively. Senior setter Briana Stowell (Orlando) finished with 26 assists and freshman Lauren LaBeck (Chicago) had 21 assists.
The Golden Hurricane (12-5, 4-1 The American) took the first two sets (25-18, 25-22). Needing a win in the third, Walker had six kills and sophomore Nikkia Benitez (Miami) chipped in four to help USF force a fourth set.
Walker had four more kills in the fourth set and sophomore Jaeden Brown (Hollywood, Fla.) came alive with three kills and two blocks, but Tulsa was able to put the match away.
