Skublak Earns Scholar All-South Region Honors
KANSAS CITY, Dec. 10, 2018–Senior men's soccer player
Tomasz Skublak earned first team Scholar All-South Region honors, announced by the United Soccer Coaches on Monday.
Skublak (Hamilton, Canada), a first team All-American Athletic Conference selection, owns a 3.42 GPA and is majoring in health science at USF. The senior is anticipating spring graduation and this is his first scholar all-region honor.
The striker netted 8 goals and added an assist for USF in the regular season, leading USF in goals scored. He also led the Bulls with game-winning goals this season with four, including two double-overtime golden goals. Skublak took 44 shots on the year with 18 coming on frame.
The senior played in all 16 games in the green and gold this season and was twice named AAC Offensive Player of the Week. Skublak's team-leading eight goals is good enough for a third-place ranking in the league. He also earned two brace's this season, scoring two goals against Tulsa and another pair at Cincinnati.
About USF Men's Soccer
The Bulls concluded the 2018 regular season with a 7-8-2 overall record and American Athletic Conference 4-1-2 mark. Senior striker was named first team all-conference while junior midfielder Alex Zis was named second team all-conference. Avionne Flanagan, a sophomore defender was named second team all-conference, while Henrique Gallina, freshman defender, was named to the All-Rookie team.
