TAMPA (March 20, 2018) – USF looks to continue its 15-game win streak in Gainesville on Wednesday when it takes on No. 6 Florida at 6:05 p.m. at the Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium.
 
USF (22-12) carries momentum from its final week of tournament play where the Bulls went 6-0 and completed their ninth shutout of the season.
 
Scouting the Opponent
The Bulls battled the Gators earlier this season and were the first team to post runs against Florida. USF fell, 14-3, but both Macy Cook (Uniontown, Ohio) and Amber Atkinson (Citrus, Fla.) notched a home run against the Gators in the game.
 
Florida is 23-3, and dropped four spots in the national rankings this week after opening conference play with a pair of losses to Georgia.  Amanda Lorenz leads the gators batting .438 in 80 at-bats. The Gators' two premiere pitchers, Kelly Barnhill and Aleshia Ocasio, have combined for 194 strikeouts in 137 innings this season, and allowed a combined 20 runs.
 
The last time the Bulls defeated the Gators was in 2012. Florida leads the series against USF, 46-13.
