TAMPA (April 12, 2018) – The Bulls have remained on the top of the standings every week since the start of conference play and will look to continue that streak with a series at Tulsa this weekend.

Last weekend, the Bulls took the series win over Houston with a pair of victories that wrapped up on Sunday afternoon. Due to weather, the two teams had to finish the second game on Sunday before the series finale. In those final innings of the second game of the series, USF surged ahead with Astin Donovan's (Guilford, Conn.) 200th career hit, and a three-run homer by sophomore Brooke Hartman (Port Orange, Fla.).

The Bulls remain the only team in the conference to win every series they have played in The American so far.

Scouting the Opponent
The Golden Hurricane has taken two of three series wins this season. The reigning American champion fell in its first series to UCF but swept East Carolina and took two of three against Wichita State. Tulsa is led by pitcher Emily Watson, who has built an impressive resume this season with 130.2 innings pitched and 14 wins. She has been named conference pitcher of the week three times this season and has posted six shutouts and 175 strikeouts.

The Golden Hurricane looks to Shelby Estocado at the plate who bats .400 and has recorded 31 runs, 48 hits and 32 RBI this season.

USF leads the series against Tulsa, 6-5, dating back to 2004. The Golden Hurricane swept the series against the Bulls last season in Tampa and went on to win its first American Athletic Conference regular season title as well as the tournament title.
