Bulls Tame Tigers for Yet Another Five-Set Win, Improving to 5-1

BATON ROUGE, LA., SEPTEMBER 1, 2018 – The USF volleyball team is beginning to make winning in five sets a trend, as it closed the Tiger Classic with an impressive win at LSU Saturday afternoon (25-21, 15-25, 25-19, 13-25, 15-9).

The Bulls (5-1) spread the productivity fairly evenly, as they had eight players with kills. Walker, Brown and Senior outside hitter Reagan Davey (Ocala, Fla.) each had two kills in the fifth set.

Quotables

Head coach Courtney Draper on the huge win:
"We played great volleyball today, ultimately winning the serving and passing game. We got them out of their system and forced them to do things they didn't want to do. We used many different players in unique roles, which maximized our opportunity."

Head coach Courtney Draper discussed the team's ability to battle and continuously win in five sets:
"We had the same amount of aces, digs and blocks, so it was an even match. I'm so proud of the toughness this team displays and their drive to win."

The Bulls travel north for the Blackbird Invitational hosted by LIU Brooklyn Sept. 7-8.
