Bulls Close Regular Season Friday at FSU Invitational

TAMPA, OCT. 10, 2019 – The USF cross country team puts the finishing touches on the regular season Friday at 7:40 a.m. when the Bulls travel to Tallahassee, Fla., to take part in the FSU Invitational at Apalachee Regional Park.
USF captured both the men's and women's title last weekend at the USF Invitational, led by a first-place finish from freshman Alexandra Weir (Toronto, Ontario) in the women's 5K race. Weir turned in a time of 18:42.78 and was tabbed the American Athletic Conference Female Runner of the Week on Monday.
Fellow freshman Alec Latzke (Safety Harbor, Fla.) was the top finisher for the men with a time of 16:18.27 on his way to a third-place showing.

Erik Jenkins is in his first season as the head coach of USF cross country. The history of USF's women's program consists of five conference and two region championships as well as five NCAA qualifying teams. The USF men's program has produced seven conference championships and three NCAA qualifying teams.
