TAMPA (OCT. 14, 2019) – USF closes out its short homestand on Tuesday night when the Bulls face Jacksonville at Corbett Stadium. First touch is slated for 7 p.m. USF looks for its fifth win in its last six outings, and to go 8-3 on the year.

- Jacksonville comes into its match at USF on Monday with a 4-4-2 overall record ... The Dolphins are 1-3-1 in their last five matches, and losers of their last two-straight.
 
- Conner Lufkin leads Jacksonville in scoring with seven points (3g, 1a) ... Jesus Colombo (3g) and Mason Tunbridge (2g, 2a) are tied for second in points scored with six.
 
THE SERIES VS. THE DOLPHINS
- USF and Jacksonville have met 44 times prior to Tuesday night's contest with the Bulls dominating the all-time series, 33-9-2 ... USF is 4-1-1 in its last six matches against JU ... In addition, the Green and Gold is 10-4-1 in their last 15 matches with the Dolphins ... The two schools have not played since Sept. 8, 2016, when USF won 2-0.
 
- USF is 14-5-1 at home against Jacksonville, and have outscored the Dolphins, 130-47 in the all-time series.
 
LAST TIME OUT
- Nine days after having its match suspended at Tulsa, USF and the Golden Hurricane finished what they started on Oct. 14, only this time at Corbett Stadium in Tampa, with the Green and Gold getting the 2-1 result.
 
- USF and Tulsa played for 68 minutes on Oct. 5, and the Bulls led 2-1, before bad weather moved into the Tulsa area and caused two lightning delays that eventually caused the match to be called ... The match was stopped at 9:44 p.m. ET and then when lightning continued to strike, the decision was made approximately 10:45 p.m. to call the match.
 
- With the Golden Hurricane playing in Orlando at UCF this past weekend, the decision was made to have Tulsa play the Bulls in Tampa for the final 21:36 of the match ... The contest will only count for American Athletic Conference standings and the player statistics for postseason AAC awards ... The match is not being recognized by the NCAA.
 
- Prior to the stoppage on Oct. 4, the Bulls got early goals in the contest from Avionne Flanagan, in the 3rd minute and Adrian Billhardt in the 7th minute.
 
TRIO EARNS AAC WEEKLY HONORS
- USF had a trio of players earn American Athletic Conference (AAC) honors for the week ending Sept. 29 ... Javain Brown was named Defensive Player of the Week and Harrison Devenish-Meares was named Goalkeeper of the Week ... Emilio Ycaza was named to the AAC honor roll ... It is the second time this season that each player earned their respective honor ... The Bulls, 5-2, posted a 2-0 record last week with wins over North Florida (1-0) and against UConn (2-1) in the AAC opener.
 
BULLS CLOSE PRESEASON WITH 3-0 EXHIBITION RECORD
- USF closed out its 2019 preseason schedule with a 3-0 record, capped off by a 1-0 win over the University of Tampa in the 41st annual Rowdies Cup at Corbett Stadium on Aug. 24 ... Freshman forward Victor Claudel netted the game-winner on a penalty kick in the 85'.
 
- The Bulls also defeated Eastern Florida State College (2-0) on Aug. 17 and Eckerd College (1-0) on Aug. 21 in their first two exhibition matches.
 
BILLHARDT & FLANAGAN EARN PRESEASON AAC HONORS
- USF men's soccer standouts Avionne Flanagan and Adrian Billhardt and have been named to the American Athletic Conference (AAC) Preseason All-Conference Team.
 
- Flanagan finished 2018 with Second Team All-AAC honors ... He played in all 17 matches for the Bulls and started in 16 ... He scored two goals on the year off 15 shots ... His goal against Florida Atlantic marked his first game-winner and was a crucial turning point for USF, which posted a 3-1-2 record in its next six matches.
 
- Billhardt earned preseason all-conference honors after recording four points on four assists in 2018 ... A great technical player, he is creative and extremely dangerous one-on-one with a big left foot ... Billhardt was also recognized during his freshman season, in 2017, when he was named First Team All-AAC and to the All-Rookie Team.
 
BULLS TABBED FOURTH IN AAC PRESEASON POLL
- USF was voted by the league's head coaches to finish fourth in this year's preseason American Athletic Conference Coaches poll ... The Bulls trail only UCF, SMU and UConn ... Temple, Memphis, Tulsa and Cincinnati round out the bottom four.

UP NEXT
Following Tuesday's match, USF will hit the road to face Temple in Philadelphia on Friday night at 7 p.m. ... The Bulls will return home on Oct. 22 at 7 p.m. when FIU visits Corbett Stadium for the first of three-straight home matches ... USF will also take on UCF on Oct. 26 and Cincinnati on Nov. 1 to close out the regular season home schedule ... All home matches are at 7 p.m.
