Bulls fans can get their daily USF news each morning on Bulls Beat. Darek Sharp hosts a half-hour show filled with exclusive interviews, highlights, full recaps and game previews on all USF sports teams. Bulls Beat can be heard each weekday on Bulls Unlimited, a channel devoted to USF sports 24/7. Search USF on the IHeart Radio app to download the channel. The show repeats each half hour from 7-10 every morning, with an additional airing at 12:30 p.m.
Bulls Weekly Highlights
- USF football (4-4, 2-2) has a bye week after a big road win at ECU on Oct. 26. The Bulls begin a three-game homestand Thursday, Nov. 7 against Temple (8 p.m. kickoff, TV: ESPN).
- USF men's basketball tunes up for the regular season with an exhibition game against Saint Leo 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Yuengling Center.
- No. 19 USF women's soccer (12-3, 7-1) has won six straight games heading into a War on I-4 matchup at UCF (6 p.m. Thursday) to wrap up the regular season. The Bulls have earned a first-round bye in the conference tournament that begins Sunday.
- USF men's soccer (8-5-1, 2-3) hosts Cincinnati (7 p.m. Friday) in the Bulls' final home game of the regular season.
- The American Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships take place Friday in Memphis, Tenn.
- USF volleyball has a War on I-4 match at UCF (7 p.m. Friday) before another conference test at Memphis (2 p.m. Sunday).

TAMPA, OCT. 28, 2019 – Take a look ahead at the week in USF Athletics and catch up on last week's news:
Football (4-4, 2-2)
This Week: USF has a bye this week and begins a three-game homestand Thursday, Nov. 7 against Temple (8 p.m. kickoff, TV: ESPN). The Bulls then host Cincinnati (Nov. 16) and Memphis (Nov. 23). Tickets can be purchased by visiting

Last Week: USF scored 35 straight points in the first half and kept its foot on the gas pedal after the break in a 45-20 rout of East Carolina on Oct. 26 that extended the Bulls' winning streak against the Pirates to five games. USF has won all five road games in the series with ECU and remained unbeaten in Greenville, N.C., after posting new season highs with 347 rushing yards and 525 total yards. Read the recap

Jordan Cronkrite was named to The American's weekly honor roll Monday after rushing for 129 yards and two touchdowns in the 45-20 win at ECU on Oct. 26... USF currently leads the nation with 20 takeaways this season. The Bulls rank second in the FBS with 9.1 tackles for loss per game.

No. 19 Women's Soccer (12-3, 7-1)
This Week: USF looks to finish up the regular season with its seventh straight win 6 p.m. Thursday in a War on I-4 test at UCF… The Bulls have already clinched a first-round bye in the American Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Championship that begins Sunday. USF is still in contention for The American's regular season title… USF moved up to No. 19 in this week's
Top Drawer Soccer rankings.
Last Week: Sophomore keeper
Sydney Martinez registered her second straight shutout in a
1-0 victory over Cincinnati on Oct. 24… USF clinched a first-round bye in the conference tournament with a
3-1 win at East Carolina on Oct. 27.

Sydney Martinez was named American Athletic Conference Goalkeeper of the Week on Monday after posting a shutout against Cincinnati and making three saves against East Carolina last week. Senior

Rithvik Bollipalli appeared in the ITA Southeast Regional doubles final Monday in Gainesville… USF heads to Lakewood Ranch, Fla., for the Dick Vitale Intercollegiate Clay Court Classic that takes place Friday through Sunday.
Last Week: Wojcik and Bollipalli advanced to the ITA Southeast Regional doubles final with a victory over FGCU's Felipe Ramirez and Feliksas Sakalauskas. Sophomore

This Week: USF travels to Fort Myers, Fla., for an exhibition game against Florida Gulf Coast University that takes place 6 p.m. Saturday at CenturyLink Sports Complex. The Bulls' other fall exhibition game is Sunday, Nov. 10 at 1 p.m. against Florida in Gainesville.
Need to Know: The USF Baseball Golf Classic will return to the TPC Tampa Bay course on Friday, Nov. 8. Proceeds from the annual event support the Bulls' baseball program. Registration is open to the public with several levels of sponsorship and participation available. Find out more

Sailing
Last Week: USF finished third overall at the SAISA Women's Fall Championships in Wrightsville Beach, N.C. Junior
Marina Barzaghi and sophomore Carolina Perez-Rovira tied for third in the A Division but lost the tiebreaker. Juniors
Katie Bornarth and
Samantha Kappaz placed third in the B Division, just one point away from second… USF's freshmen also participated in the Nickerson Trophy in Medford, Mass., where the Bulls finished in 12
th place.
Sydney Monahan and
Lily Theisen sailed all B Division races and narrowly missed a fifth-place finish. Ethan Hanley and
Erika Desonie participated in the first six A Division races before Drea Keswater and
Olivia Smith finished the regatta.

About USF Athletics
USF Athletics sponsors 19 varsity men's and women's teams that compete in 11 different sports, 18 at the NCAA Division I level in the American Athletic Conference. The Bulls' athletic program began in 1965 and is in its 53rd season in 2018-19. Nearly 500 student-athletes train and compete in the athletic district located on the east end of the campus in Tampa, Fla. The Bulls have claimed 18 American Athletic Conference team titles since joining the conference in 2013, and own 119 conference titles overall. Eleven USF programs reached national postseason competition in the 2018-19 season and six were ranked in the Top 25 nationally. The Bulls posted a combined annual grade-point average over 3.0 for the fourth straight year in 2018-19 and have posted a program record nine straight semesters with a combined GPA over 3.0. USF has had more than 250 student-athletes earn their degree in the last three years.
