TAMPA, Oct. 31, 2019 – The USF women's volleyball team heads to UCF for the second round of the War on I-4 on Friday, followed by a matchup against Memphis on Sunday.

USF (7-17, 1-9) jumps back into competition after hosting Tulane and Houston last weekend. The Bulls fought hard inside The Corral but dropped both matches.

Friday's War on I-4 will mark the 72
th meeting between the programs, with the Bulls looking to improve on a 41-31 all-time record after suffering a loss to UCF earlier this season. In Tennessee, USF will face Memphis on Sunday for the 27
th time with the Bulls leading the series, 20-7.

Jac St. Cin (St. Petersburg, Fla.) finished with a career-high 22 kills to help USF hold a 73-63 edge during the match against Houston (Oct. 27).
Jordan Valley (Haslett, Mich.) also earned a career-high against Houston, tallying 23 digs.

The Bulls have two players currently ranking in The American's top 10.
Lauren LaBeck (Chicago, Ill.) sits in the eighth spot for assists in the conference with 219 and 7.55 assists per set.
CC Clausen (The Woodlands, Texas) currently ranks eighth in digs with 140 and ninth in service aces with 11.

UCF (15-6, 9-1 American)
The Knights enter the War on I-4 at 9-1 in conference play. UCF swept the fifth week of conference play with a three-set win over Houston (Oct. 25). The Knights finished off the weekend sweep with a four-set victory over Tulane (Oct. 27).
UCF is led offensively by sophomore outside hitter McKenna Melville, who has recorded 350 kills this season. Redshirt senior libero Makenzie Kuchmaner leads the Knights with 303 digs. Head coach Todd Dagenais has led the program for 13 seasons and owns a 228-146 overall record.Â

Memphis (14-8, 3-7 American)
The Tigers recently split decisions during the fifth week of conference play, falling to Cincinnati (Oct. 25) in three sets. Following the loss, Memphis strung together a win against East Carolina (Oct. 27), earning its third conference win of the season.

Junior right-side hitter Hannah Flowers, who has recorded 274 kills this season, leads Memphis offensively. Sophomore libero Kaitlyn Gehler leads the Tigers with 318 digs and has posted 20 service aces. Head coach Sean Burdette is in his second season with the Tigers and owns a 25-27 overall record.Â

Head coach Courtney Draper led her team to 20 wins in 2018, the most in her time at USF and the most for the program since 2002. The Bulls appeared in the NIVC, the program's first postseason trip since 2002. Senior outside hitter Jac'cara Walker led USF with 394 kills and recorded her 1000thcareer kill during the 2018 year, on her way to earning first team All-American Athletic Conference honors. USF returns four starters, including its libero, while welcoming 9 newcomers to the fray in 2019 in the form of two transfers and seven freshmen.Â
