Bulls Finish Competition at Texas, Florida Relays

GAINESVILLE, Fla., MARCH 30, 2019 – The USF track and field team finished competition at both the Texas Relays and Florida Relays over the weekend.
Senior David Bell (Jacksonville) placed second in the pole vault Thursday at the Texas Relays with a height of 17-04.50, which is the eighth-best mark in the NCAA thus far this season. Bell also placed fourth in the pole vault Saturday at the Florida Relays with a height of 17-01.50, which is the 11th-best mark in the NCAA thus far this season. Freshman Stone Baker (New Port Richey, Fla.) placed 10th in the event and posted the eighth-best outdoor mark in school history with a height of 16-07.50 Saturday at the Florida Relays.
On the women's side, senior Stephanie Lambeth (Frankenmuth, Mich.) placed seventh in the pole vault at the Florida Relays and turned in the fifth-best outdoor mark in school history with a height of 12-11.50. Senior Nicole Carroll (Land O' Lakes, Fla.) finished 10th in the pole vault with her height of 12-11.50.
USF returns to action April 12-13 when the Bulls travel to San Antonio, Texas, to take part in the UIW Invitational.

Led by 14th-year head coach Warren Bye, the USF track and field team has produced 22 All-America selections since 2008 and at least one All-American in nine of the last 11 years. 2016 graduate Matthew O'Neal is USF's first six-time NCAA All-American.
