No. 37 Men's Tennis
This Week: American Athletic Conference Player of the Year Alberto Barroso-Campos, ranked No. 15 nationally, will continue to represent USF at the NCAA Singles Championship. Barroso-Campos will face North Carolina's Benjamin Siguoin in the first round 5 p.m. Monday at the USTA National Campus in Orlando. Get live stats along with bracket and TV info HERE.
Last Week: Prior to the program's NCAA tournament appearance, USF won its fifth conference tournament title in six seasons in The American with a 4-3 comeback victory over top-seeded UCF in the championship match on April 21.

Track & Field
This Week: Eight Bulls will compete in the NCAA East Preliminary, which takes place Thursday through Saturday in Jacksonville on the campus of the University of North Florida. USF's participant list includes D'Angelo Ennis (triple jump), David Bell (pole vault), Stone Baker (pole vault), Chelsea Francis (100, 200 meters), Maurice Nock (100, 200 meters), Brittany Krug (javelin), Stephanie Lambeth (pole vault) and Imani Carmouche (high jump). Athletics
Last Week: More than 500 people attended BullsFest 2019, a sold-out premier auction event presented by R.R. Simmons, on Saturday, May 18 in the West Club at Raymond James Stadium. The event featured live and silent auctions with all proceeds benefiting the Selmon Mentoring Institute, a progressive program that provides one-on-one mentoring opportunities for USF's nearly 500 student-athletes to develop as people and professionals. Need to Know: Director of Compliance Dawn Castro, Director of Selmon Mentoring Institute and Student-Athlete Enhancement Kristen Harris and Assistant Director of Student-Athlete Enhancement Tayler Onion have each been selected to attend the 2019 NCAA/Women Leaders in College Sports Institute for Administrative Advancement (IAA). Softball (41-19)
Last Week: Sophomore ace Georgina Corrick struck out 11 batters as USF defeated No. 21 South Carolina, 3-2, in the Tallahassee Regional opener on May 17… USF dropped a 12-1 decision against eventual Tallahassee Regional champion Florida State before the Bulls' memorable season ended with a 2-1 loss to No. 21 South Carolina in 10 innings on May 18. USF made the program's 15th NCAA tournament appearance and its 14th trip under head coach Ken Eriksen… Georgina Corrick and AnaMarie Bruni were selected to the National Fastpitch College Association All-Region First Team and Third Team, respectively. Need to Know: 2019 marked the 17th time in program history that the Bulls have posted 40-plus wins in a season. USF has registered 40-plus wins 15 times under the guidance of head coach Ken Eriksen… Prior to regionals, USF earned its third American Athletic Conference regular season title and was awarded the league's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament for the first time in conference history. Eriksen has led the Bulls to 14 of the program's 15 NCAA tournament appearances.

Football
Last Week: USF Vice President of Athletics Michael Kelly announced an agreement with the University of Miami to play a three-game football series starting in 2025, bringing the Bulls' scheduled nonconference games vs. Power 6 opponents to 14 over the next 10 seasons. The Bulls and Hurricanes will play a pair of games at Hard Rock Stadium (65,326) in Miami Gardens, beginning the latest series on Sept. 13, 2025 and closing the three-game series on Sept. 9, 2028. The Hurricanes will return to Raymond James Stadium on Sept. 4, 2027 to face the Bulls in Tampa for the fourth time and first time since 2013. View USF's future nonconference schedules HERE… USF's 2019 season Week 2 game at Georgia Tech on Saturday, Sept. 7 was set for a 2 p.m. kickoff (TV: ACC Network). Need to Know: USF will open its third season under head coach Charlie Strong with a primetime clash vs. Wisconsin on Friday, Aug. 30 at Raymond James Stadium. New season tickets are now available for purchase. USF football season ticket members and Iron Bulls can purchase away game tickets now through the end of the priority deadline of Aug. 1. Baseball (26-27)
This Week: Joe Genord was named to The American's all-conference first team. The senior first baseman hit a career best .333 in 2019 with 13 home runs, 52 RBI and 36 runs scored. A year after being a second team all-conference selection, Genord was named preseason all-conference in December and lived up to the expectations in 2019. He had 16 multi-hit games and 14 multi-RBI outings, finishing the year with an on-base streak of 25 games. Learn more HERE.
Last Week: USF fell one victory short in its mission of making the conference tournament. Needing to take two of three from Wichita State, the Bulls bounced back from a 7-6 loss in the series opener on May 16 with a 2-0 home victory on May 17. Junior right-hander Collin Sullivan struck out seven batters in the second complete game of his career. In the series finale, USF jumped out to a 3-0 lead before Wichita State plated seven unanswered runs in the Bulls' season-ending loss on May 18… USF's home game against Jacksonville on May 14 was canceled due to unplayable field conditions made by heavy rains in the Tampa area.
Need to Know: Senior Joe Genord finished his USF career ranking third in program history with 44 home runs. His 163 career RBI and 78 extra-base hits are both good for ninth in school history.

Men's Golf
Last Week: USF made the program's seventh consecutive NCAA Regional appearance in Stanford, Calif. The Bulls tied for eighth place as a team while Albin Bergstrom capped off his fantastic freshman season in strong fashion by tying for 10th place in the 75-player field at 3-under. Learn more HERE.
Need to Know: Despite having a new-look roster, the Bulls captured two straight tournament titles this season at the Fort Lauderdale Intercollegiate and USF Invitational, both in wire-to-wire fashion. USF has won multiple tournaments in each season with head coach Steve Bradley at the helm – 2014-15 (5), 2015-16 (4), 2016-17 (2), 2017-18 (5), 2018-19 (2).

Women's Tennis
Need to Know: USF was recognized as the ITA's 2019 Southeast Community Service Award winner after the Bulls logged in 170 community service hours as a team throughout the season. Ana Roman Dominguez also was recognized as the Southeast's Most Improved Senior. Learn more HERE.

Women's Basketball
Last Week: Standout wing Kitija Laksa announced she will not return for another season with the USF women's basketball program. The two-time WBCA All-America honorable mention earned her degree in May after suffering a season-ending knee injury just three games into what would have been her senior season in 2018-19. USF has lowered men's basketball ticket prices for the 2019-20 season, saving current season ticket members an average of $90 per ticket on renewal. USF Athletics sponsors 19 varsity men's and women's teams that compete in 11 different sports, 18 at the NCAA Division I level in the American Athletic Conference. The Bulls' athletic program began in 1965 and is in its 53rd season in 2018-19. Nearly 500 student-athletes train and compete in the athletic district located on the east end of the campus in Tampa, Fla. The Bulls have claimed 18 American Athletic Conference team titles since joining the conference in 2013, and own 119 conference titles overall. Nine USF programs reached national post-season competition in the 2017-18 season and six were ranked in the Top 25 nationally. The Bulls posted a combined annual grade-point average over 3.0 for the third straight year in 2017-18 and have posted a program record eight straight semesters with a combined GPA over 3.0. USF has had more than 250 student-athletes earn their degree in the last three years.
