USF Finishes Competition at UAB Blazer Invitational

BIRMINGHAM, ALA., Jan. 10, 2020 – The USF track and field team opened its indoor season Friday at the UAB Blazer Invitational and turned in four top five finishes.

Sophomore Stone Baker (New Port Richey, Fla.) placed second in the pole vault with a height of 16-8.75, while fellow sophomore Melvin Briley (Jacksonville, Fla.) took fifth in the triple jump with a distance of 47-6.50.

On the women's side, senior Adriana Janic (Malmo, Sweden) raced to a second-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.52 seconds. Senior Stephanie Lambeth (Frankenmuth, Mich.) turned in a fourth-place showing in the pole vault with a height of 12-5.50.

USF continues competition Saturday at 10 a.m. when the Bulls remain in Birmingham to take part in the UAB Vulcan Invitational.
