USF Prepares for Midweek Game Against Penn State

TAMPA, March 10, 2020 – The University of South Florida softball team continues a 24-game homestand on Wednesday with a game against Penn State. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at USF Softball Stadium.
 
The Bulls wrapped up another 4-1 weekend at the USF Tournament on Sunday. Georgina Corrick (Sanford, Fla.) earned The American Pitcher of the Week honors and Wilson/NFCA National Pitcher of the Week accolades after a 4-0 weekend where she tied the program's record for strikeouts in a game with 18 against Wisconsin on Saturday.
 
Brooke Leistl also earned a selection to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll. In four games, the redshirt junior went 10-for-14 with four runs and two stolen bases.

Players to Watch:
  • Kennedy Legg (C – R-Jr.) – Legg leads the Nittany Lions with a .313 batting average through 64 at-bats this season. In addition, she's driven in eight RBIs while drawing 13 walks.
  • Bailee Parshall (P – So.) – Parshall has pitched the bulk of the innings so far for Penn State, leading the team with 83.1 innings. In 19 appearances, she's tallied a 7-5 record with a 2.60 ERA and a 1.12 WHIP.
