TAMPA (March 9, 2020) – The USF baseball team returns to Tampa for midweek action, taking on Pittsburgh Tuesday evening and Florida A&M Wednesday night.
Carson Ragsdale (Wesley Chapel, Fla.) kept the Bulls toe-to-toe with No. 1 Florida Sunday afternoon tossing another strong outing this season. The redshirt senior tied his career-high in strikeouts with 10 against the Gators. Ragsdale allowed two hits and one run through four innings.
USF's pitching staff currently sits seventh in the nation for strikeouts per nine innings with an average of 12.2. The USF pitching staff has combined for 182 strikeouts through 134.1 innings.
Baron Stuart (Okeechobee, Fla.) will get the call to open up midweek play on the mound for the Bulls against Pittsburgh. USF has yet to announce who will get the call on Wednesday night against Florida A&M.
The Matchups
USF prepares to host Pittsburgh for the 24th time in program history. The Panthers head to Tampa with a 6-18 overall record against USF. The Bulls are currently 10-2 against the Panthers in Tampa.
Florida A&M heads into Wednesday's game after taking the first meeting between the two programs, 5-1 earlier this season. The Bulls are 47-5 against the Rattlers and are 36-3 when playing in Tampa.
