Bulls break scoring record again in round two of Evie Odom Invitational

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (October 4, 2021) – For the second time in exactly one month, the University of South Florida women's golf team broke its 18-hole program scoring record by shooting a 279 in round two of the Evie Odom Invitational on Monday.
 
The Bulls previously set a new record with a score of 280 to open the 2021-22 season in round one of the USA Intercollegiate on September 4th. That broke a mark of 281 which was established in February of 2021.  
 
South Florida collectively dropped 18 birdies its in round on Monday and finished one-under-par (279). Melanie Green (Medina, N.Y.) led the way with six birdies.
 
Morgan Baxendale (Windermere) carded five birdies and shot a 67 (-3) on the day. The senior will enter the final round of the tournament on Tuesday tied for second place individually (135), just two shots off the lead.
 
As a team, USF will enter Tuesday's tournament finale tied for third place (565), only four strokes off the lead.
