Bulls carry momentum into War On I-4 matchup

TAMPA (November 16, 2021) – Riding high off their first conference win of the season, the University of South Florida Bulls (7-20, 1-15 AAC) travel to Orlando on Wednesday for round two this season of the War On I-4 against the UCF Knights (22-6, 15-1 AAC). First serve is slated for 7 p.m.
The Bulls broke through for their first AAC win of the season last Saturday with a 3-1 triumph over Memphis.
Marta Cvitkovic matched a season high with 23 kills, and recorded her seventh double-double of the season with 10 digs. Cvitkovic four matches with at least 20 kills this season. She was recognized by the league on Monday for her standout effort over two matches last week by being named to the AAC Honor Roll for the second time this season.
Cvitkovic ranks seventh in the AAC in points/set (3.82) and ninth in kills/set (3.18). Her 328 kills on the season are a new career high and lead the Bulls.
True freshman Ragan Kinard floored a career-best 17 kills in the win over Memphis while committing zero attacking errors. She ranks fifth on the team with 135 kills this season.
Fellow rookies Tizi Puljiz (216), Amanda DeWitt (178) and Amiree Hendricks-Walker (178) rank behind Cvitkovic, respectively, on the team for kills.
Hendricks-Walker leads USF in blocks (90), followed by Puljiz (72) and Ally Barnhart (70).
CC Clausen has a team-best 371 digs and enters the match with 1,593 in her career (second all-time in program history). Alexis Williams ranks second on the team with 253 digs, and tallied a career-best 22 last week against SMU.
The Bulls rank fourth in the AAC in blocks/set (2.10) and are third at the service line with 1.51 aces/set.

USF returns home to The Corral on Sunday to conclude the home portion of its regular season schedule against Temple at 1 p.m. The Bulls will then finish out the season with a pair of road matches next week.
