Tampa, Fla., March 15, 2021 – The University of South Florida men's tennis team fell to No. 5 TCU after a three-hour-plus match. After dropping the doubles point, the Bulls secured two singles courts against top-50 players in their 2-5 loss.
No. 21

Jakub Wojcik (Delray Beach, Fla.) earned the only point of the doubles contest after defeating Alastair Gray and Luc Fomba, 7-5.
In singles play,
Chase Ferguson (Melbourne, Australia) came back from a set down defeat No. 21 Gray, 1-6, 6-4, 7-5. Wojcik held off No. 47 Fomba 6-3, 2-6, 6-4, putting them within one of the Horned Frogs. Despite all matches pushing to three sets, losses from courts three through six sealed a TCU victory.
Quotable
Head coach Ashley Fisher on today's loss….
"Really proud of our team for showing so much grit the last three days. We were so close today, having match points in the doubles and one singles match and then losing three others in three sets. Every person on our team pushed themselves today, and we were two good serves away from beating a top-five team. Credit to TCU for finding their way to the finish line. They are comfortable in these sorts of battles, and their players came through in some tough moments. Very proud of all of our guys, but the performances by Chase and Kuba were incredible. We are getting better each match and can't wait for our next opportunity."
