TAMPA, FLA. March 23, 2021 – The University of South Florida softball team hosts the North Florida Ospreys for a midweek doubleheader on Wednesday. Game one features a 4 p.m. first pitch and game two will start approximately 40 minutes after the conclusion of game one.
 
Due to virus mitigation measures and the size of the venue, fan attendance at USF Softball Stadium will be via team pass list only. All regular-season home games during the 2021 season will be broadcast on the ESPN+ platform.
 
USF leads the all-time series, 3-0, against North Florida. The last meeting, in 2018, was a 8-0 win in five innings for the Bulls.
 
South Florida is coming off a weekend sweep of North Dakota, featuring two run-rule wins and a no-hitter in the third game of the series. The Bulls took game one, 12-0, in five innings and game two, 13-4, also in five innings. Georgina Corrick (Sanford, Fla.) tossed USF's 26th no-hitter in the last game of the weekend, allowing only two walks while striking out 13 the 2-0 win. Corrick was named the American Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week while Kyndall Williams (Trenton, Fla.) earned a spot on The American's weekly honor roll for a successful weekend at the plate. The junior finished 6-for-9 with four runs and two RBIs, including two doubles and a home run.

Opponent
The North Florida Ospreys has a 10-13 record on the year and is coming off a weekend where the team was swept by the Florida Gulf Coast Eagles. Previously, the team split a doubleheader against No. 20 UCF.
 
The Osprey's offense is led by Ashley Goebel, who has a .362 average in 58 at-bats with three doubles and 10 RBIs. In the circle, Halle Arends and Morgan Clausen have handled 54.1 and 53.2 innings for North Florida, respectively. Arends has a 1.55 ERA while Clausen has a 3.78 ERA.
