March 31, 2021 – The University of South Florida softball team begins the road portion of its 2021 schedule with a trip to Houston for a four-game conference series. Beginning with a doubleheader on April 1 starting at 4 p.m. ET, the teams will also play on April 2 at 3 p.m. and April 3 at 1 p.m.

USF (14-6, 4-0 AAC), who is receiving votes in the USA Softball/ESPN Poll, leads the all-time series, 22-15, against Houston. The Bulls won the last meeting, 3-0, on March 31, 2019. All games of the series will be broadcast on ESPN+.

South Florida wrapped up a weekend sweep of the Memphis Tigers last Sunday. The Bulls also have an 11-game win streak heading into this weekend.
Georgina Corrick (Sanford, Fla.) was named AAC Pitcher of the Week for her efforts, while
AnaMarie Bruni (Schwenksville, Pa.) earned a spot on the conference's weekly honor roll after breaking the league's career stolen bases record with her 82
nd over the weekend.
Opponent
Houston (9-18, 0-4 AAC) was most recently swept by UCF in its conference-play opening series. The Cougars do have wins in 2021 over No. 7/7 Oklahoma State and Baylor, who was receiving votes at the time of the win.

Houston is led by Lindsey Stewart-Vaughn in the batters box, who is hitting .363 in 80 at-bats. Behind her, Sarah Queen is hitting .354 with seven home runs and 19 RBIs. In the circle, Rachel Hertenberger has pitched the most innings for Houston, tossing a 3.41 ERA in 61.2 innings.
