TAMPA, Fla. May 6, 2021 – The University of South Florida softball team continues its trip in the American Athletic Conference Championship with a semifinals matchup against in-state rival UCF. First pitch in the semifinals is at 4 p.m. ET.

USF's offense powered the Bulls past Memphis in the first round, earning an 10-2 victory in six innings. Georgina Corrick (Sanford, Fla.) threw a complete game in the victory, tossing 11 strikeouts on the day. Bethaney Keen (Bradenton, Fla.) went three-for-three at the plate, including a double and a two-run home run.

Opponent
UCF finished the regular season in third place in The American with a 16-7-1 record in conference play and a 37-16-1 record overall. The Knights narrowly slid by ECU in the first round, earning a 4-3 victory.

Jazmin Esparza leads the Knights on offense, hitting .365 in 148 at bats this season. Shannon Doherty and Georgia Blair lead the team in home runs with 11 each. In the circle, Alea White has handled the most innings for UCF, tossing a 1.62 ERA in 181.1 innings.
