FORT MYERS, Fla., Sept. 19, 2021 – The University of South Florida women's soccer team closed out its non-conference schedule with a 2-1 victory over Florida Gulf Coast on Sunday afternoon. The Bulls finish its non-AAC slate with a 5-2-1 record against out-of-conference foes.

Sydny Nasello (Land O' Lakes, Fla.) scored a brace in the game, her third career multi-goal game. Three Bulls also tallied assists, giving USF scorer's seven points in the game.

USF scored first for the fifth time this season. A long pass from Vivianne Bessette (Montreal, Quebec, Canada) found Paula Leblic (Madrid, Spain), who crossed it to Nasello for the redirect into the goal.

After USF took a 1-0 lead into the break, FGCU tied it up in the 56th minute on a goal from Olivia Lindstedt.

The Bulls found the game-winner about 15 minutes later. Lucy Roberts (Cheshire, England) sent a free-kick to the front of the net, where Nasello headed it home to seal the 2-1 victory.
