Orlando, Fla. (October 19, 2022) – The University of South Florida Bulls (7-12, 1-6 AAC) dropped their first edition of War on I-4 this season against UCF (16-1, 8-1 AAC) on Wednesday night.
Central Florida is receiving votes in the most recent AVCA Coaches Poll.
South Florida pushed UCF to extra points in the second set, but suffered a sweep in Orlando. The Knights took the match by set scores of 25-14, 26-24, 25-10.
Amanda DeWitt (Jupiter, Fla.) paced the Bulls with seven kills, followed by Ally Barnhart (Lenexa, Kan.) with sic kills and hitting a .400 percentage.
DeWitt and Barnhart also led the Bulls with two total blocks apiece.
Kelsey O'Loughlin (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) claimed three service aces, nearly matching her current career high of four aces. O'Loughlin also posted 21 assists throughout the match to go along with six digs.
Emma Santi (Ocala, Fla.) and Alexis Williams (St. Louis, Mo.) led the back row with six digs each, followed by CC Clausen (The Woodlands, Texas) with five digs.
