USF Volleyball completes five-set comeback win at Temple

The Bulls overcame a 2-0 deficit on the road Friday night.

Philadelphia, Pa. (November 18, 2022) – The University of South Florida Bulls (10-17, 4-11 AAC) opened their weekend slate with a comeback win at Temple (10-18,4-13 AAC) after a five-set battle on Friday night.

South Florida took the match against Temple by set scores of 19-25, 29-31, 25-23, 25-23, 15-9.

Freshman Yasmin Shaw (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) paced the Bulls with her first double digits of the season and new career high of 16 kills on an impressive .609 hitting percentage. Shaw and Amanda DeWitt (Jupiter, Fla.) also led the team with four total blocks apiece.

Maria Clara Andrade (São Paulo, Brazil), Ally Barnhart (Lenexa, Kan.) and DeWitt also posted double digit kills for the Bulls. Barnhart posted a new career high on a .643 hitting percentage while DeWitt claimed her 400th career kill.

Tatiana Johnson (Frederick, Md.) posted her first double-doubles of the season with 20 assists and 10 digs. Kelsey O'Loughlin (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) contributed with another 31 assists for the Bulls.

CC Clausen (The Woodlands, Texas) led the Bulls' back row with 29 digs, followed by Johnson. Marta Cvitkovic (Rijeka, Croatia) and Andrade posted nine digs apiece. Cvitkovic also claimed her 500th career dig.

Clausen finished the night with 1,995 total career digs and approaches her 2,000th mark after breaking USF's all-time dig record earlier in the season.
