TAMPA, FLA., October 8, 2023 – The University of South Florida men's golf team will host the USF Invitational at Southern Hills Plantation Club in Brooksville, Fla beginning on Monday, October 9. The Bulls are led by head coach
Steve Bradley, the five-time AAC Coach of the Year is in his 10th season.
South Florida last hosted the event and posted a dominant victory on March 12, 2018. The Bulls led wire-to-wire, outpacing the field by 29 shots for the victory. Bull Priyanshu Singh took individual honors, finishing one shot ahead of teammate Claudio Correa.
The USF Invitational is the third of the Bulls' four events on the Fall slate. The Bulls finished 11th at the Visit Knoxville Classic and captured fourth place in the Windon Memorial Classic.
At the USF Invitational, the Bulls will compete in a 14-team field that will include Troy, Wofford, Jacksonville State, Delaware, George Mason, FAU, Louisiana, ECU, Stetson, Davidson, Georgia State, FAMU and Lamar.
The field will play 36 holes on Monday, October 9, beginning with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. (EST). On Tuesday, the competitors will play 18 holes with tee times starting at 8:30 a.m. (EST).
Leading the charge for the 2023-24 Bulls is
Jake Peacock, a member 2022-23 AAC Men's Golf All-Conference team. Peacock paced the Bulls in the team's opening event, the Knoxville Classic, carding 211 (+1) to finish 22
nd in the 84-player field. He matched his career-best with a 66 in the opening round and finished tied for 14
th at the Windon Memorial Classic.
Head Coach
Steve Bradley announced the following competitors for the Bulls in Brooksville:
Brock Healy, Jake Peacock, Cooper Smith, Shubham Jaglan and Nino Palmquist. Sam Nicholson, Wilhelm Ryding and Chase Gullikson will each compete as individuals at the tournament.

"It's been several years since we've had a chance to bring teams to the Tampa Bay area, so we are excited to host and welcome 13 teams from across the US. Our guys have been working hard and we had a great qualifier to determine our top five. The team is playing with a lot of confidence right now and I'm looking forward to watching them compete."
About USF Men's Golf
The USF men's golf program has captured 17 conference titles and has seen players earn 19 All-America honors. The Bulls have won five American Athletic Conference Tournament championships in wire-to-wire fashion, winning four-consecutive from 2015-18. The Bulls have had four individual conference champions, including Albin Bergstrom in 2021, and gone on to earn nine straight NCAA Regional appearances, including a 6th place finish in NCAA Championship match-play in 2015. USF is led by Steve Bradley, who has been named American Athletic Conference Coach of the Year five times since taking over the program in 2014. The Bulls have posted 21 tournament wins under Bradley entering the 2023-24 season, by far the most under any coach in program history.
