Men's Golf Heads To Nevada for Lake Las Vegas Intercollegiate

TAMPA, FLA., February 25, 2023 – The USF men's golf team will compete in Henderson, Nev. Monday through Wednesday at The Lake Las Vegas Intercollegiate.
 
The 54-hole tournament, the Bulls second of the spring, will be played at the Reflection Bay Golf Club (Par-72, 7,20 Yards) and is hosted by Coastal Carolina University. The field includes Louisiana, Arkansas State, Arkansas-Little Rock, Rocky Mountain, Winthrop, Middle Tennessee State, Alabama Birmingham, Michigan, Pacific, Kansas, New Mexico State, Central Arkansas, Kansas City, Stetson and Long Beach.
 
THE BULLS
Head Coach Steve Bradley announced the following lineup for the Bulls: 
 
1. Sam Nicholson (Jr., Atlantic Beach, Fla.)
2. Shubham Jaglan (So., Delhi, India)
3. Chase Gullikson (So., Orlando, Fla.)
4. Jake Peacock (So., Milton, Ga.)
5. Nino Palmquist (Fr., Halmstad, Sweden)

LAST TIME OUT
The Bulls last competed at the Florida Gator Invitational where they opened the spring slate and finished 6th of 15. Three Bulls placed in the top 15 individually to help USF tally a 54-hole total of 854 (+14) in the 14-team field that competed on the Mark Bostick Golf Course (Par 70, 6,701 yards).
 
USF was led by junior Sam Nicholson (Atlantic Beach, Fla.) who finished eighth after firing rounds of 68, 69 and 73 for a total of even-par, 210.
 
He was joined in the top 15 by sophomores Jake Peacock (Milton, Ga.) and Shubham Jaglan (Delhi, India). Peacock finished tied for ninth with a 1-over par total of 211 after posting a 70 in the final round. Jaglan tied for 14th at 3-over par, 213, shooting a 69 in the second round.

About USF Men's Golf
 
The USF men's golf program has captured 17 conference titles and has seen players earn 19 All-America honors. The Bulls have won five American Athletic Conference Tournament championships in wire-to-wire fashion, winning four-consecutive from 2015-18. The Bulls have had four individual conference champions, including Albin Bergstrom in 2021, and gone on to earn nine straight NCAA Regional appearances, including a 6th place finish in NCAA Championship match-play in 2015. USF is led by Steve Bradley, who has been named American Athletic Conference Coach of the Year five times since taking over the program in 2014. The Bulls have posted 20 tournament wins under Bradley entering the 2022-23 season, by far the most under any coach in program history.
