TAMPA, Fla. (March 23, 2023) – The No. 60-ranked University of South Florida men's tennis team will face Wichita State on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at the USF Varsity Tennis Courts. This will be the fifth match of a nine-match homestand for the Bulls.
South Florida comes into the match with the Shockers on the heels of a 4-3 come-from-behind win on Wednesday over Florida Atlantic. With their latest win, the Bulls keep their perfect home record intact at 6-0. In addition, South Florida is in the midst of a four-match win streak and has won six of its last seven matches.
Sitting at 10-9, the Green and Gold go against the Shockers for only the third time winning the previous two matches. The last match-up was on April 8, 2022, when the Bulls swept Wichita on the road, 7-0.
Davide Tortora has won his last three singles matches and Bruno Oliveira has also won his last three singles matches, including two that would clinch the match for USF.
Wichita State comes into Tampa with a 9-10 record and losers of its last two straight matches and five of its last seven.
