TAMPA (March 27, 2023) – USF Athletics and Linda and Randy Simmons will join efforts once again to raise money for the Selmon Mentoring Institute by hosting the BullsFest 2023 auction event on Saturday, April 29 at Raymond James Stadium.
 
The event will begin at 6 p.m. with a cocktail hour and silent auction. A dinner program will follow, hosted by WFLA News Channel 8 reporter and former USF Track & Field student-athlete Deanne King. The special guest speaker for the evening will be NFL Hall of Fame member Kellen Winslow, Sr.
 
"We have to start by saying thank you once again to Linda and Randy Simmons for taking a leadership role in this important annual event," said Michael Kelly, USF Vice President of Athletics. "This event is so special in honoring the legacy of Lee Roy Selmon in the Tampa and USF communities. This year's event will be another fun-filled evening with our many supporters and the combined efforts to raise funds to support the Selmon Mentoring Institute."
 
"Lee Roy Selmon exemplified what it truly means to be a well-rounded student-athlete throughout his life," said Linda Simmons. "Lee Roy wanted his teammates and eventually, the USF student-athletes he was guiding to prepare themselves for life after sports. We believe in supporting the Selmon Mentoring Institute and the professional development opportunities it provides USF student-athletes. We hope the Tampa community will join us for BullsFest to support the goal of fully endowing the Selmon Mentoring Institute."
 
The evening will conclude with a live auction filled with tremendous items, including packages to some of the best sporting events in the country.
